Makeup For Mature Skin:: It DOES Exist!
Ready to RAVE about eye makeup made for mature skin?
Getting dressed up + packed up for a trip is something I do often.
{And by “dressed up” I mean comfortable pieces that I can wear out + in the window seat of a 737 for 4+ hours}.
“Dressed up” also includes my makeup. When one reaches midlife makeup has to change. My skin isn’t as taut as my 20-something skin.
Do you see curtain {maybe hooded} eyelids looking back at you in the mirror lately?
Eye liner scitters instead of glides across your eyelid?
Eye lashes aren’t as long and full anymore?
This is my makeup life today, in my 50’s.
Along with many other changes in midlife, we can add eyelids, brows, and crepey skin to my list.
Life is change, and it’s all good!
But adjustments are made when these changes POP UP.
Some changes I’m not excited about, but others {more time to travel + visit family and friends} are pretty amazing!
And now, discoering a new eye makeup that glides onto my newly-hooded eyelids shifts the makeup game to the plus column of midlife.
In our 20’s and early 30’s, our skin was like a fresh marshmallow — soft, fluffy, and instantly puffing back into shape when squished.
Now? That same marshmallow seems to have been left on the counter overnight — still sweet, but needs a little coaxing to get its shape back.
Our mid-40’s and 50’s skin isn’t as taut as red, rubber bouncy-balls we used on four-square court at recess, or the sweet marshmellows.
But with the beauty industry always wanting our business, they research and invent better eyeliners that will glide {not skip across} onto our 50+ eyelids.
What would it take for you to try a new makeup brand?
Special event or night {afternoon} out
No-smudge eyeliner after a hot flash {ever again}?
Eye makeup made {+ modeled} by someone your age?
Last all travel day long? {I’m talking 10+ hours}
I tumbled head first down the rabbit-hole of eyeliners + watching different ways to apply eyeliner and mascara smoothly, AND not look like my 3-years-young nephew applied it with his onyx Crayola crayon.
My travel days can be 10+ hours, and at the end of that jet bridge, I want my eyeliner and mascara to land in the same place it took off that morning.
Arguably, I should have updated my eyeliner and mascara sooner.
But searching {and buying} can be more trouble {and expensive} than it’s worth sometimes.
But my skins-a-changin’ – maturing – so it was time for an eyeliner upgrade.
I was gifted new eyeliners to try and I jumped at the chance of discovering a better {glide-able} brand!
I love the word “maturing” so much more than “aging” or “old.”
Once I tried the eyeliner and mascara, I was hooked to make the change.
In case you’re looking for a change too + a 10% discount to try it out::
Here are my favorite features on my new makeup besties!
Glides on easily {doesn’t skip across my eyelid}
Has a sharpener so I can keep the point SHARP
Offers 5 colors, but my go-to’s are black and gray
The mascara wand is rounded + easy to get into the corners
You can layer on the mascara without clumping
Lasts ALL TRAVEL DAY LONG
Walking the makeup aisle is daunting when you’re looking for a new product. Too many choices is not always a happy shopping day. And searching for new makeup that compliments mature skin {i.e. 50+} can be near impossible {and expensive}!
Revant came to my rescue, and I can’t wait to see what they come out with next!
