Give these 5 {Travel} Style Trends a Try in 2024

You don’t need to add all 5 into your closet {even #5 is a stretch for me}. There are also all sorts of ways to “follow” these trends this year and make them your own.

One of my favorite parts of traveling to places where I know ZERO PEOPLE is the chance to try out an outfit that isn’t something I’d normally wear at home.

Again, #5 snaps into my brain.

This years fashion forecast holds the bold, the sporty, and “Oh So Shiny!”

Fashion trends dive into the depths of haute couture, street chic, and sometimes the downright UNREALISTIC on the Paris runways, but I put together more everyday, less Emily in Paris, outfits for these 2024 trends.

{P.S. They’ve started filming season 4 of Emily in Paris 🫶🏼 Can’t wait!}

This list takes 5 of these trends, leaves out the strange and quirky to strip them down for our practical, but also FUN, travel days.

In this whimsical and quirky world of fashion trends – socks with sandals showcased in every vacation town 2018 and pajama pants somehow became an accepted brunch attire – we see it all, but we don’t have to wear it all.

how to add 2024 style trends into your travel style

1/ Sporty Chic

A fusion of comfort and style.

Is there a better way to travel?

For me - No. No there is not. Let’s see if it’s for you…

This trend is the invitation to mix athletic elements {being athletic not required} with fashion, for a cool AND comfortable wear for a long day or short jaunt of travel.

Consider this your invitation to create an outfit where Fashion Meets Function.

2/ Suit Casual

Take the office look and give it a comfortable lift. The bonus here is this trend can be easily dressed up for the office or down for a trip.

You’re not buying one outfit for work and another for vacation with this trend.

3/ The White Dress

For the brave, this trend is pure and sophisticated. The white dress is hard to call a “trend” because it’s a FOREVER CLASSIC staple.

Effortless charm at it’s finest!

However, as a spiller, dribbler, and having clothes that magnetize all food and beverage there are risks involved in wearing a white dress. But is does offer an endless amount of styling possibilities when you pack it in your suitcase.

4/ Red

Travel forth and BE BOLD!

Red is energetic, confident, and daring.

If you’ve been wanting to try a new color this year, let it be red. And there’s no better time to try a bold new color in your style than on your next trip in 2024.

5/ Metallics

Shimmer me up Scotty!

The idea of test-wearing a new trend isn’t to be flamboyant or head-to-toe blinding in shimmer, but to add in a piece and see if it fits you.

It’s a fusion…trends mix with YOUR STYLE {and comfort level}

I do love myself a little sparkle – in small pieces, but not the whole outfit.

Start small with an accent piece in red, moving up to a full monochromatic red look. Or keep it simple with a red tee, jeans and a pair of flats.
