The Ultimate in Travel Mirror-acles, MidLife Eyes, & Magnification Joy

Is a Travel Mirror worth packing?

Adjustable height and fold-flat are great

Had this one & loved the shape, lights + how it stands up. {minus was the round mirror kept falling}

My personal favorite. Light is perfect when needed, folds up small for my carry-on, adjusts in height

If you’re really tight on space, this pocket one is better than your blush/powder compact.

Big YES on the Travel Mirrors

Death by horrible lighting isn’t a thang, but if you’ve ever vacationed in a cave, hotel room, or Airbnb darkroom {i.e. bathrooms lacking window light} and tried to put makeup on in said cave, then I know your answer is

YES! Yes, I do need a travel mirror!

As a MidLife woman settling into a 50’s mid-lifestyle, with repeat stays with bathroom darkrooms, magnifying mirrors are worth hitting the BUY BUTTON.

  • I’ve balanced my powder compact on my legs

  • squatted in front of a pocket mirror on the window ledge

  • sat outside Airbnb’s with a travel mirror perched on a patio chair

to put my makeup on.

WHY?

Because there’s nothing better than natural light to put makeup on and blend all the colors. Unless you’re makeup-ing for Halloween and going as a Krusty the clown, Elphaba, or Grinch.

In that case - paint away my beautiful friend. 🤡

If you can fit a 5x7 or wee bit bigger travel mirror in your suitcase + one that has a magnifying side, you’ve got the crem-de-la-crem for all the travel shenanigans in your future.

Why Buy a Lighted Mirror Then?

By this age we’ve seen it, done it and got the shirt! Maybe even had, “BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING” tattooed on your right limb.

Most mirrors with lights don’t cost anymore than ones without. Grab the lighted mirror. So if you’re stuck in the airport, on the plane, or trapped in an elevator with your luggage your makeup ready when natural light isn’t an option.

So true, if you’re stuck in an elevator you have bigger issues than if you have a light-up mirror. 🙄

Magnification is a Must

Have you reached the point where readers stay atop your head 12-hours a day?

If that’s a, “yes” than I don’t need to write anymore.

If you’re not there yet…Lucky you - relish this time! But place your trust in me, if only this one time, and read my words when I type…

You mirror magnification days are coming and I’m saving you an extra purchase.

😉💖

The four mirrors above are my top picks depending on the suitcase space you have for your trips.

If you get my Stylish Travel Shenanigans newsletter you know I’m a carry-on girl, so I have the foldable Goddess Theory Co mirror in my suitcase.
